Leaning on Jesus

Dear Reader,

I pray you and your family are doing well. With the world still in crisis, we need to lean on Jesus more than ever.

A Challenging Time

Although the past several weeks have been personally challenging for both Neena and me, praise God, I have been able to continue the worldview series on Heritage of Truth and we have continued the podcast with only a one-week delay.

Last week's Heritage of Truth show took a break from the worldview series to welcome back Carol Kent, this time with her husband Gene. Part 2 of their interview on how to keep your marriage strong during a crisis should air this week.

Carol was speaking in early March at a local retreat and agreed to the interview at the last minute. I can't tell you how nice it was to interview someone in person again. And Carol is always a great guest.

Neena and I have continued our Grace Overflowing podcast. We have now posted eight shows. Please continue to pray for us and our families as we produce this podcast to help encourage other families, especially moms.

Always Needing to Lean on Jesus

I'm finding I need to lean on Jesus more and more these days. That's a good thing, because I'm learning to do things in His strength instead of my own.

Please pray for God's will as I continue the worldview series in a few weeks. I pray you will find this series useful as you nurture lifelong confidence in biblical truth in your family.

If you find this series or anything we're doing helpful, please tell others about it.

We would love to hear from you. Please write us and tell us how you're doing and how we can pray for you.

Ministry News

Heritage of Truth turned 10 years old last month. We're celebrating God's faithfulness. If this ministry has encouraged or helped you in some way, please send us a comment that we can post in order encourage others in their walk with Jesus.

Annabella's Crown

In addition to producing content for Heritage of Truth and the Grace Overflowing podcast, I've been busy illustrating a new book my daughter and I wrote. It's called Annabella's Crown. It will be released in August from Elk Lake Publishing.

Annabella's Crown is a parable to help children better understand our relationship with God. In this illustration, Annabella is searching the ancient writings for answers as to why her sisters' crowns receive new jewels each day and hers doesn't.

Annabella's Crown

Watch for new children's content on our website related to this book. There will be a lot of fun information, activities, and scriptural applications.

God's Word

"“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord And whose trust is the Lord “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit." (Jer. 17:7–8 NASB 1995)

Dear Reader, I pray you and your family are doing well. This week, Neena and I were texting and she wrote, "I just keep thinking about how every single thing in our lives, if it doesn't point to God, it points somewhere that we don't need to be." For me, that translates into focus. If I focus on Jesus and God's Word, all the rest will fall into place according to His priorites. Then all I do, think, and say can reflect Him and bring Him glory. Prayer is an essential component of our...

Dear Reader, I pray you are doing well. The majority of young people in America--and many in other generations-- believe truth does not exist. They will say, "Truth is relative." "Your truth may not be my truth." "I'm glad that works for you, but I have my own truth." Others condemn anyone who believes in one truth. By definition, Christianity is exclusive. There is only one way to God, and that is through His Son Jesus. Raising children and teens to stay in the faith is becoming harder in...
