Dear Reader,
I pray you are doing well.
The majority of young people in America--and many in other generations-- believe truth does not exist. They will say, "Truth is relative." "Your truth may not be my truth." "I'm glad that works for you, but I have my own truth."
Others condemn anyone who believes in one truth. By definition, Christianity is exclusive. There is only one way to God, and that is through His Son Jesus.
Raising children and teens to stay in the faith is becoming harder in our culture. But we have the help of God. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Phil. 4:13).
So if you're raising children or teens, grandparenting them, or just meeting them in everyday life, take heart. God's Word will accomplish what He wants it to accomplish.
Stay faithful. Share the gospel. Encourage others in their faith. And if we can help you or if you have a topic you'd like us to cover, please let us know.
Here are the latest shows I have posted on Heritage of Truth:
Sharing the Gospel with Postmoderns (4:59) with Dr. David Beauchamp. We have more to come from Dr. Beauchamp.
How to Enter into Your Child's Culture (31:52) with Stephen Burnett and Jared Moore
Five Worldview Questions for Family Discussions (13:51) with Stephen Burnett and Jared Moore
I read an interesting article, "The Hidden Grace of Pixar's Soul," by one of the authors of The Pop Culture Parent, Ted Turneau. We interviewed his co-authors, Stephen Burnett and Jared Moore in two of the programs linked above, as well as in a show in December, Engage Pop Culture with Your Family (12:59).
In this article, Ted Turneau demonstrates through a discussion of one popular movie how to apply the principles presented in his book.
"I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them away from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth." (John 17:15-17 NASB)
"By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error."(1 John 4:2-6 NASB)
May the Lord bless and keep your family safe, healthy, and walking in His will as He draws you ever closer to Him.

Dear Reader, I pray you and your family are doing well. With the world still in crisis, we need to lean on Jesus more than ever. A Challenging Time Although the past several weeks have been personally challenging for both Neena and me, praise God, I have been able to continue the worldview series on Heritage of Truth and we have continued the podcast with only a one-week delay. Last week's Heritage of Truth show took a break from the worldview series to welcome back Carol Kent, this time with...
Dear Reader, I pray you and your family are doing well. This week, Neena and I were texting and she wrote, "I just keep thinking about how every single thing in our lives, if it doesn't point to God, it points somewhere that we don't need to be." For me, that translates into focus. If I focus on Jesus and God's Word, all the rest will fall into place according to His priorites. Then all I do, think, and say can reflect Him and bring Him glory. Prayer is an essential component of our...
